Edwards FloTrac Sensor Recognized as Finalist in Medical Devices Category
IRVINE, Calif., MAY 11, 2007 – Edwards Lifesciences Corporation (NYSE: EW), a world leader in products and technologies to treat advanced cardiovascular disease, announced today that Michael A. Mussallem, Edwards’ chairman and CEO, received the Outstanding Public Company CEO award last night at the 14th Annual High-Tech Innovation Awards, presented by the Orange County and Inland Empire Council of the AeA.
In addition, the Edwards FloTrac Sensor, a less invasive hemodynamic monitoring device, earned finalist honors in the medical devices category. When used in combination with Edwards’ Vigileo monitor, this market-leading sensor system measures and reports continuous cardiac output (CCO) through an arterial pressure line.

The High-Tech Innovation Awards recognized local companies, individuals and products in the technology field that drive innovation in Orange County and the Inland Empire. AeA set record levels for nominations and attendance with more than 125 nominations received and 20 innovators recognized. The sold-out dinner and awards ceremony drew nearly 600 luminaries from local high-tech companies, financial and government institutions as well as academic leaders, educators, students, investors and media affiliates.
